Experience the taste of China in Moscow.

CCTV News:In recent years, with the deepening of Sino-Russian cultural exchanges, Russians have become more and more interested in the Spring Festival in China. Some Russians who love China culture organize various activities during the Spring Festival, including the "plasticine contest" with the theme of China that children like, and the China cultural knowledge quiz held on the New Year’s Eve.

Katja Andrias is the founder of the Moscow Children’s Chinese Education Project "Kitarama". On the eve of the Spring Festival, the Kajia team planned a "Children’s Plasticine Competition", the theme of which was "China". Over the past few days, they have received more than 200 works from Russian and many other countries, including the naive giant panda, the swaggering loong, and many children who made the Great Wall of Wan Li with plasticine.

Katja said that "kitarama" means China square characters. In 2020, she started this online project with several friends from China, mainly hoping to provide a communication platform for Russian children who love Chinese and China culture and their parents. Through this exchange, many Russians know more about China and have their own understanding of Chinese culture.

In addition to the online Spring Festival activities, many offline Moscow people also have the opportunity to feel the joy and celebration of the Spring Festival. On the 11th, the Russian Federation of Asian Industrial Entrepreneurs organized the "China Cultural Knowledge Quiz" in Moscow Friendship Shopping Mall to welcome the Spring Festival. Whoever can give the correct answer will get the prizes distributed on the spot. At the event, some citizens also wrote their New Year greetings in Chinese.
