The forum was organized by the National Astronomical Observatory and the International Lunar Astronomical Observation Association (ILOA) co-sponsored, with the theme of providing advice to primary and secondary school science teachers"Astronomical Observations on the Moon"Astronomy science trainingforumbyLiang Yanchun, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the National Astronomical Observatory, presided over the invitation toILOAChairperson Steve·Durst(Steve Durst)He Yuan Zhining, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing District Association for Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciencesspeech. The guest speakers areILOAchairpersonSteve Durst,United StatesUniversity of HawaiiPierre MartinProfessor,National Astronomical ObservatoryMoon-based Ultraviolet Telescope(LUT)Chief designerWei Jianyan, Project ScientistWang Jing and Meng XianminPhDwaitFive experts.

The forum focused on China’s Chang’e-3 project and introduced the only spacecraft operating on the moon so farNAOCLunar-based ultraviolet telescope (LUTIn the future, the International Lunar Astronomical Observation Association will establish a combined robotic and human astronomical observation base at the lunar south pole for astronomical observations on the moon.

The Chinese experts introduced in detailLunar-based ultraviolet telescope (LUTThe main features of the lunar surface, the working conditions of the lunar surface, and the highlights obtained, including the firstLUTNeighboring galaxies photographed from the moonM101Valuable images of its multiple star-forming regions,LUTThe outstanding results of refreshing the record of the upper limit of water content in the lunar exosphere, etc., and the target source selection and data processing process of the telescope fixed-point observation are also explained in detail.

American experts introducedAstronomical observations of the lunar south pole and preparations for deep space explorationThe possibility of observing and studying galaxies on the Moon and using existing findings to confirm that the lunar surface will be a potential platform for studying galaxies in the near future. Also detailed is the International Lunar Astronomical Observation Association (ILOA) and the projects it has developed, the purpose of which is to use astronomical observations on the moon to make it a perfect combination of human astronomical observations on Earth and in space, and its galactic images will be used for21Century Astronomy Education.ILOAIt is a non-profit organization based in Hawaii whose mission is to broaden human horizons and knowledge through astronomical observations on the moon and participation in the construction of an international lunar base.ILOAPioneered its educational program, Galaxy Forum, to strengthen21Centuries of scientific education as well as finding and confirming relevant support.

At the end of the forum, five experts sat in front of the audience and answered questions together. The audience asked questions frequently, and the experts responded enthusiastically, making the atmosphere very lively.

This forum is organized by China Hands-on Astronomy Education (China)HOUContact from Beijing and surrounding areas100Many primary and secondary school science teachers, graduate students and college students of astronomy clubs in colleges and universities, as well as people from all walks of life who care about education, love the universe, and care about people and nature. At the end of the forum, a universal teaching of astronomy was presented to each teacher and audienceEducation certificate.
