2021 Comedy of the Year "First Incense"

author/Dewar

Needless to think, most of the people who went to watch "The First Incense" were not for appreciation. There were overwhelming complaints in front of them, and the mood of watching the movie was somewhat "I want to see what kind of shooting is made".

It had to be said that Nao Nao’s perception was a bit complicated. After experiencing surprises, collapses, forced psychological construction, hilarious laughter, and another collapse within 144 minutes, he finally came to the conclusion that he did not see the material love, but this was definitely a comedy.

Especially when Yu Feihong’s aunt said "he is our uncle" at the dinner table, the audience laughed in unison, which was a tacit understanding that had not been felt in the theater for a long time.

As for the protagonists Ge Weilong and Qiao Qi, it can only be said that Xu Anhua embroidered the most gorgeous robes for Ma Sichun and Peng Yuyan, and as a result, they put on a funny children’s play.

But do you want to use a bad movie to describe "The First Incense"? Nao Nao felt that it was far from this. Xu Anhua’s talents and skills are still there, and the team is also a first-class team, so what is the problem?

Physical body? Peng Yuyan lost to Yin Fang

"The First Incense" was born out of controversy. Since Ma Sichun’s excerpts of Zhang Ailing’s quotes were hung out in the living room of @Zhang Fan, allowing her to read more of the original, the movie has entered the atmosphere of being mocked by the group, and there is a senior veteran Xu Anhua who can’t settle the grievances.

After the shooting began, Reuters leaked out, and the ridicule intensified. The most impressive evaluation was that these two portraits played Tigress and Xiangzi. Mean is mean, but it also pointed out the biggest bug: not matching.

In the novel, Ge Weilong has a flat and beautiful small convex face. "The eyes are long and charming, the deep marks on the eyelids go straight into the sideburns, the slender nose, and the fat mouth."

Qiao Qi, on the other hand, was a pale mixed race, suave, with a gloomy temper and a little girl-like. Just after reading this paragraph, the audience must have already had actors in mind, but they must not be Ma Sichun and Peng Yuyan.

Then to the publicity period released a series of "The Former 3" wind of the pain of the video, neither the short video users’ favor, nor the fans of Zhang’s pleasure, but around the cause of disgust.

But even so, "Incense of the First Furnace" still has a chance to turn around. Xu Anhua’s works over the years are guaranteed by word-of-mouth. Wang Anyi is the screenwriter, Du Kefeng is the photographer, and the score is from Ryuichi Sakamoto. Peng Yuyan Ma Sichun is not without acting skills. As a result, when the film came out, there was no surprise of any reversal, and it was completely destroyed.

As the core characters of the movie "First Incense", Ge Weilong and Qiao Qi, the two leading actors Ma Sichun and Peng Yuyan are obviously unqualified.

No matter how hard Xu Anhua tried to use her strength on the two of them, they were both outside the movie.

Yu Feihong’s aunt, who is trying her best to push Hong Kong’s luxurious and deformed Vanity Fair to the audience, is about to enter the play when the camera sweeps past Ge Weilong and Qiao Qi: one person says you are a thorn in my side in Taiwanese accent, and one person bows his head and smiles shyly.

The film immediately turned into Taiwanese Xiaoyan × Youth Pain Literature, and all efforts were in vain.

In the novel, Ge Weilong loves Qiao Qi, "She knows that Qiao Qi is just a very ordinary prodigal son, and there is nothing to be afraid of. What is terrible is the unreasonable and violent enthusiasm he aroused in her."

In the movie, Ge Weilong loves Qiao Qi, who is two people without a spark who are forced together for the plot, making the audience confused.

Is there sex between the two? There is obviously no sexual tension, which is not as good as the salty afternoon between my aunt and Lu Zhaolin, or even the brief moment when Qiao Qiqiao teased the girl.

Is it love? Then Ge Weilong’s love came too inexplicably. Qiao Qi charmed the two girls of the Liang family, so that Ge Weilong was distracted and willing to join his aunt’s favor. Such a man is at least personable and charming to convince the audience.

But the movie doesn’t seem to give him space to play, and his charm is far less than that of Yin Fang, who has only a few scenes. Yin Fang is like Lu Zhaolin in the novel, with yellow and black skin and young flesh emitting hormones. No wonder there is a comment saying: Peng Yuyan, get out of the way, blocking me from seeing Yin Fang.

You know, here Peng Yuyan is the model of a handsome guy, this time because of Qiao Qi fell off the altar.

In Ma Sichun’s case, Ge Weilong’s struggle was a young girl’s emotional act. She found that the expression of rushing into the laundry room was no different from the July confrontation with Ansheng five years ago.

Once it comes to intense emotional expression, you can see Ma Sichun’s mouth twitching violently as he reads his lines. This may be Li Bar or July, but it is definitely not Ge Weilong.

Two people who can’t get through eight poles want to fall in love? The audience won’t buy it, and the story of Ge Weilong and Qiao Qi doesn’t make sense, and the meaning of "The First Incense" no longer exists.

Bad movie? Far from

Sincerely speaking, "First Incense" is not a bad movie. Apart from the exquisite service, the plot is completed in one go, and it has contributed many wonderful characters, which has been praised repeatedly.

Ge Weilong’s aunt gave up the family her brothers were looking for and married Liang Jiteng, a wealthy Hong Kong businessperson, as his aunt. Liang Jiteng left her a real estate and a large sum of cash after his death.

Yu Feihong, who has always been intellectually dignified, wanted to play the worldly and shrewd Mrs. Liang, which was controversial at first. The audience expected Mrs. Liang to be more gorgeous, but her appearance convinced the audience.

Just like in the novel, he was dressed in black with a green hat net, and he scolded someone crisply and elegantly. When he saw his lover Situ Xie, he immediately changed his face and his tone was also affectionate.

In just a few minutes, it could be seen that this was a ruthless character. She was exquisite on the outside, and everyone would give her three points, and she would be in charge of the fate of everyone in this house internally. Ge Weilong felt that her aunt was a capable woman, "Holding the giant wheel of the times with one hand, and being a small Empress Dowager Cixi behind closed doors."

The characters of the two girls were very similar to Qingwen and Attack. They were played by Zhang Jianing and Zhang Junjun respectively, and they performed very well. Zhang Junjun also consciously changed his accent. Normally, there was almost no Taiwanese accent, which was obviously done with his heart.

Even Liang Luoshi, who had not seen her for a long time, was particularly suitable. In the movie, she was Qiao Qi’s sister, Ji Jie, who was also of mixed race. Her jerky Mandarin was more in line with her identity than Qiao Qi.

Zhang Ailing’s novels are not very good for film and television, because her text is so delicate that it is difficult to convert it into images directly. For example, she only asks Ge Weilong to say "I can make money". In the movie, Xu Anhua needs to shoot Situ Xie accompanying her on a date, holding her hand ambiguously in the back seat of the car.

Fan Wei’s play of Situ Xie is also very wonderful. There are not many descriptions of him in the novel. He is the only one of his aunt’s many lovers, and that’s all. Under Fan Wei’s interpretation, this Shantou businessperson’s comedy effect is full, and when he dines with Ge Weilong, he demonstrates eating oysters and makes the audience laugh.

But there are some things that are difficult for the director to shoot, such as Qiao Qi’s identity and situation. An important reason why he couldn’t marry Ge Weilong was that his mixed-race identity was extremely embarrassing in Hong Kong at that time.

In the novel, I borrow Ji Jie’s mouth to talk about their situation. She said: Our possible objects are all ** (mixed race), and the Chinese can’t do it, because our foreign-style education can’t be mixed with the pure Chinese. Neither can foreigners! Which white person here is not very racial?

Under such a growing environment, Qiao Qi did not have any sense of belonging and did not look forward to marriage. Unfortunately, the character of Qiao Qi was much thinner without being photographed, which also made it difficult for the audience to understand his behavior.

Another example is Ge Weilong’s transformation. A large part of the driving force of the novel "First Incense" is desire. Ge Weilong loves Qiao Qi and the huge kaleidoscope of Hong Kong. This is a power game she is willing to fall into.

It was also the reason why the readers talked about her, spurned her, and pitied her. The truth and complexity of her body made her final choice valid. In this game in the movie, everyone was tense, and only Ge Weilong kept talking softly and breathlessly, which was out of tune with this place.

She didn’t know whether Xu Anhua and Wang Anyi were kind or cruel. They magnified Ge Weilong’s obsession with Qiao Qi and found a step for her to fall.

In the end, Ge Weilong shouted out of the car window: I love you, you unconscientious. The audience felt a chill, and obviously everyone didn’t accept it. But looking back, if it was to castrate Ge Weilong into a lost girl who was crazy about love, then Ma Sichun was the right choice.
